Cross Country NWT’s AGM will take place on June 18, 2018.
The venue will be downstairs at Yellowknife Ski Club and the start time is 7:30 PM.
Welcome to the Beaufort Delta for a special 50th anniversary Top of the World Loppet.
This weekend, the Inuvik Ski Club, Cross Country NWT, and Cross Country Canada will celebrate the Delta’s tremendous contribution to the sport of cross country skiing over the past five decades and more.
Sharon Firth, four-time Olympian from the Beaufort Delta community of Aklavik, will be present throughout and is scheduled to lead the loppet’s opening ceremony on Friday evening.
Races take place throughout Saturday and into Sunday, with final awards being handed out late on Sunday morning.
Youth from Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk, Tsiigehtchic, Fort Good Hope, and Yellowknife are set to attend and appear on the start line. A community feast takes place on Saturday evening.

Cross Country NWT thanks the Inuvik club for its organization of this exceptional event and, on a weekend of ski excitement in the NWT, wishes the Yellowknife club well in its own Yellowknife Gold Loppet being staged at the same time.

Congratulations to our athletes and thank you to our coaches and team manager, all parents involved, and all officials and volunteers. Fort Smith ski club and town were wonderful hosts.

Nicolas Bennett took silver in the 5 km classic, fourth place in the sprint and fifth in the 10 km skate at junior male level. The NWT’s junior male and midget female relay teams were fourth, with the midget male team fifth.
